Lydiate walk

Parish walking group today ... and just like the last two walks, it decided to rain! Thankfully we didn't get too wet this time. I am getting a reputation of only leading walks in the rain ... but when I plan them I always have a good day. This was planned in March and reviewed in August. There were 22 of us for the 5 mile walk and it was quite a mixed group, which is great. It's all about getting people together in a different environment. I even introduced our youngest member to geocaching.  

19 of us stayed on for a pub lunch afterwards, which was superb. Then it was back to church for a couple of hours. The church is open all weekend for National Heritage Weekend and we had children's activities in church this afternoon and the bell ringing chamber was also open.

Now I've got a lot to do to finish preparing for tomorrow.
