Frog
Friday
Another beautiful day after a chilly start. I walked my usual loop down to the river mid morning when it had warmed up a bit. It was a still morning and the reflections were beautiful. I had a pre-op appointment at the hospital this afternoon with the anesthetist, prior to my appointment next Friday to remove the pins from my wrist, which I broke five weeks ago. I will be glad to be rid of the cast, but am well aware of the effort and time that will be necessary to get it back to normal functioning. Since it was such a lovely afternoon, and knowing we have rain in the forecast over the weekend, we went walking afterwards along the Canal du Nivernais from Épisy, where I came across this frog at the canal edge. I heard him first, unsure initially whether it was a frog or a bird I had heard. So we stopped to look more closely, and it was Roger that saw him first, hiding amongst some vegetation.
