Hot Stuff.

Chedhams Yard Wellesbourne held an open day today. I went along on a mini blipmeet with LooseCanon Coffeepotter and Nikonabike. They made wooden cartwheels and other agricultural products.
It ceased to operate in 1966 then some years ago was restored. It is exactly as it was found with tools and bits and bobs of machinery lying around . This blacksmith is demonstrating his craft by hammering metal to make a pair of tongs.

Extra is some nicely textured wood, spattered with paint where the workers used to clean their brushes.
