San Fernando

Hot! It didn't look promising to begin with, but the clouds faded away, the sun came out, the mercury rose, and an hour by the pool was just about as much as we could bear. So off we went to San Fernando, which we know from past experience is a good spot for everyday shopping. As it happened, we didn't buy anything, and the main excitement was when a lady passing by where we were having a refreshing beer tripped and fell heavily, lay unconscious on the pavement for a while, and had to be taken away by ambulance. Luckily, a passerby had medical knowledge and was able to assist her until help arrived.

After that we became adventurous and explored back streets and finally wound our way back home through unfamiliar territory. A short siesta, and then it was out for an evening meal in Entre Nous restaurant, which was disappointing this time compared with last year. Our favourite bar was closed because it was Friday, so we had to settle for another spot for our late-night drinks.
