Earth

Will anyone remember once this building is up, slated to be 8 or so stories if it is like all the other new ones on this street that was once kind of quaint, that down below is muddy earth? Sidewalks and streets and buildings all so encase her - sometimes it hits me in the gut. In fact I quite love vacant lots or uncared for parking strips where "weeds" (what is a weed anyway, just an uncultivated plant?) have poked up and asserted their presence and right to be!
