Woke up early again and decided to walk up lane again. I sat on a rock up on a hill and watched the sunrise across coniston, with the mist over the lake in the valley & the Old man lit up with the first of the day's light... One of those magical moments I felt so luck to witness!
After breakfast we made a picnic lunch and all walked up to Goats Water on the old man from our cottage. It was quite a scramble on the last stretch, but we all made it, and so glad we did, we were treated amazing views over the area.
The weather looked like it was on the turn while we were at the lake, so after eating our picnic, we walked back down before rain came, we saw lightning in the distance which was quite amazing!
In the afternoon we drove to hawkshead, for a wander round and a cream tea at poppy's.
