Purple picture

Flower Friday again, and I managed to find another colour of garden flowers. This time purple. Not a colour I go out to buy, but seem to have ended up with quite a few.
Dahlia
Sweet Pea
Clematis
Petunia,
Lavender

Feeling quite tired after a busy, but enjoyable day.
We had some friends over for lunch, and so spent the morning preparing.
Every thing went well, and we had a great time. Unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to sit out in the garden. The sun came out once or twice but not for long. Disappointing after yesterday.
We had Parma ham and melon soup to start. With a bottle of Prosecco, part of which you pour over the melon balls ( hence the soup)
Then Orange and ginger marinated lamb chops with roasted vegetables, green beans and cauliflower........ Wine a red Shiraz from South Africa.
For pudding, fresh raspberries, lemon verbena ice cream ( homemade) blackberry sauce and lemon wafer sticks........more Prosecco.
Coffee and After Eight mints.
They left about 7pm!
Clearing up now done, and I think it will be an early night!
So glad we have a dishwasher!
