A Balmy Late Summer's Walk

A linear walk with friends along the Grand Union canal today, from Leighton Buzzard to the Three Locks at Stoke Hammond.  It was one of those stunning late summer days, clear blue sky, warm sun and sparkling water, just beautiful.  We took our time, ambling along, taking photos, chatting, laughing and generally putting the world to rights.
Just as we were getting a little tired and thirsty we reached the pub where we had reserved a table for lunch...and an excellent lunch it was too, the chips were wonderful, soft and fluffy inside, crisp and golden outside, the perfect finish!
