Giant Bird Table

This is my neighbours bird table. It is right outside their kitchen window and is kinetic to watch. Garden birds are constantly fluttering back and forwards, to and fro. The best looking birds are the collared doves, there are two in the photo but not too easy to spot. One looks like it's made of plastic and the other is a creamy grey smudge on the ledge under the table.

The birds do seem to be very hungry for the time of year. My little tube feeder has many visiting birds but my memory of other years is that this activity has normally petered out by now. I don't know why, maybe the late frost killed all the insects that they would normally eat.
