Queues and Questions
There were queues round the block in Mantova tonight for my event with Italy's top crime writer, Carlo Lucarelli in the Palazzo San Sebastiono - a crowd of nearly 600.
Earlier we did a half hour live interview together for Italy's most popular book programme on Radio Three, at the end of which I was accosted by a tall young man who showered me with praise and told me that when asked on the BBC TV Breakfast Show who his favourite British author was he unhesitatingly replied, "Peter May." It was only afterwards that I discovered that the young man in question was David Lagercrantz, who has just written the new Larsson Millennium book. Praise indeed!
Off to Stirling in the morning for Bloody Scotland!
