Our Cheese Cake & Chutney

Our "thank you" gift from the Bride & Groom.  They had a three tier cheese wedding cake, and this was our mini version.  What a lovely idea, as they know CJ's weakness for cheeses.

Their larger version was topped and decorated with grapes and nuts falling down the side. Fresh lavender around the bottom layer, cut from a plant in my parents' garden.  

Several jars of chutney were made last week, to go with the cheese and oatcakes. Little did I know that one of the jars would be for us.  

We said "goodbye" to our now Singaporean family, as they head off to Islay tomorrow to do some serious whisky tasting.  Haste ye back!
