Chicks

Today was 'one of those days': full of people, changed plans, dust, power cuts, visa requests and gaining 3 pets.

My Syrian friend turned up at our gate in distress over her son who's very unwell (we're very fond of him especially as I was at his birth and he's named after J). I drove her back to the camp,  helped a bit, and they were so grateful they gave the children a nightingale and 2 chicks.  Help,  I can't handle this!  The children are loving them  though!

This family have just spent all their money building a basic 'hut' out of blocks after a fire in the next door tent damaged their one and tragically killed the neighbour's 3 children.
