Blackblegging!
River Aire 14
A lovely afternoon at last so we set off to complete the big pathwatch square we started on Wednesday.
This time we took a tub with us to collect blackberries on our way (we have kept seeing them but had nothing to collect them in).
The route took us down to the River Aire near Ravenroyd and then along the river into Bingley. There is a little autumn colour around in the woods and here you can see a bit reflected in the river though it is quite difficult to make out which is the reflection!
There were lots of wayside blackberry bushes and enough fruit ripe to soon fill our tub.
The Greylag goose made it's reappearance on Coppice Pond this morning just after we had said we hadn't seen it for a while.
Blackblegging, by the way, is a local way of saying blackberrying if you hadn't figured that one out!
