Cat and ... frog

Once again work was a breeze. I can't express enough how grateful I am to my colleagues for making things so easy for me to come back to. My right hand woman has told me she's expecting again, which is great news. She'll be off for a year but I feel that's no bad thing and we will cope. It won't be til March anyway.

I came home for lunch and to potter in the afternoon. I booked onto a six week Beginner's yoga course in Stony and booked a lymphatic drainage massage for next Wednesday before seeing the head shrink. The hour went quickly as I had so much to talk about following my retreat. The main points being that I certainly feel I am one of the 'overfed and undernourished'; I have realised how little I knew about nutrition and feel far more informed now; and that I need to hold on to the fact that while I was away I can honestly say I never felt 'hungry' despite surviving on just four fresh veg/fruit juices a day. Plenty of 'food for thought' and lessons to learn.

Then it was over to Bedford to see S and E. E was feeling unwell and has been struggling after her first week at secondary school so she snuggled on the sofa.

We all enjoyed 'The Bake Off' and then had a good chat and catch up. The evening ended in a rather weird way with Maisie the cat stalking a frog (we think) which had somehow got in and under E's bed. Both S and I were too freaked out to lift the bed to deal with it, so I gather E was due to sleep in with S and the frog was left where it was. I was quite glad to get out of there!

(PS It turns out the 'frog' was actually a tiny field mouse and Maisie was still stalking it this time downstairs at 7am the next day. S managed to rescue it and put it back outside. I was shocked the poor thing had lasted the night! All's well that ends well.)
