Shining a Light

A light to brighten my day in the hope that things can only get better.
The highlight of the morning so far has been walking past the sheriff court with the usual gathering of miscreants in trackie bottoms, with shaved heads and the odd staffie dog for protection and company. Occasionally one is rewarded by a black gowned official either a clerk of court or counsel amidst the assembly, puffing on a cigarette, but not today.

His Lordship and I were on the way to buy muesli at Lidl the new Waitrose of the thrifty, but where the manners of the shop floor staff can be a little intimidating. Being on the receiving end of a little of this for some small oversight at the self service check out, resulted in a swift reprimand from Himself which restored equilibrium.

With the sun making a valiant effort to shine through the clouds, I'm expecting things to improve this afternoon with a visit to my friend omts, a visit that never fails to cheer.
