Market day

Monday is market day in Turunc. The market has moved since we were last here to a new stance just opposite our apartment. The site is smaller and is now dominated by fruit, vegetables, cheese and spices rather than the clothes and fancy goods of yore, which suited us fine. We couldn't believe how much we were able to buy for 10 lire. At the moment we are getting 4.5 lire to the pound. Such a pity fruit and veg is so expensive at home. If it weren't perhaps we Scots would be so much healthier.
