Here is one of the Shires. This is Module 2 of the Equine Massage Diploma and the students are learning further techniques to assist the horse.
We identified that the big chap (he's 22 or more old) had some tightness in his lumbar area, tension in his shoulders and was a little uncomfortable below his poll at the top of his neck.
The students worked in turn on his neck, in the place he wanted us (he would lean into the masseur when they were in the right place).
I took this as you can see how he has stopped eating his hay and dropped his head, half closing his eyes as he focusses completely on what Jo is doing.
I liked the blue daylight feeding in too, bouncing off headcollar, shoulder and jumper.
