Peep hole

through the wind beaten vegetation after climbing up quite a nice hill, probably a very old dune. In the distance you can see the ocean , the surf and the thick white layer on top of the water is the fog that did not burn off all day.
In the foreground you see the Siltcoos river and its ending into the ocean in the distance. Unfortunately an Iphone picture, as I had not intended to go for this walk. I was rather looking for mushrooms but 'thanks' to the long drought there was not a single tiny, even inedible one to be seen.

A very special year. Just read that this July was the hottest July on earth since 1888, since they started recording. Something like 1.42 degrees C warmer than average. Scary.
