More ranting!

We're on holiday YAY! This is going to be back blipped BOO!

We are staying in 'Chideock' for the next couple of nights 'cos we've got 50 more miles of the 'South West Coast Path' to walk. Tomorrow we will be walking from 'Abbotsbury to Seatown/Chideock' and on Tuesday will be walking from 'Seaton to Seatown/Chideock'.

Arrived at our B&B at about 5.30pm-ish. At the risk of sounding like a 'grumpy holidaymaker'; we only booked this accommodation because it had 'parking, wifi and accepted dogs'???!!!

1) Parking was described as being 'in the lane' - Nowhere on the website was it stated that there were only two spaces in the lane. .......Which were occupied when we arrived! Grrrrrrrrr!

2) Obviously we need 'wifi' to BLIP. Can we connect to the 'wifi' here? We cannot! The very lovely, (but slightly eccentric B&B owner), didn't seem to know that she should be providing her visitors with a 'code for the wifi'. We showed her where it was on her 'wifi hub' but it still doesn't work?!!! As all you Blippers know, Ann isn't the most techie person in the world, so it's actually quite reassuring for her to know that there are people less techie than her??!! However it is still extremely annoying that we can't blip tonight??!!

3) This B&B accepts dogs....................but just where am I supposed to sleep? We are in a 'cosy' double room............... It's 'very cosy'?!!................. There is no room for my travel duvet so Ann has put it in the bathroom.

We're on a 'walking holiday' so we will 'cope' for a couple of nights. We have never, ever stayed in such a teeny, weeny room and this is supposed to be a double. Also, how many B&B's these days don't have a TV in the room or a kettle? ................Hence the long BLIP. Ann is bored!

Ann's job at St Ives Holidays is to audit all the properties to ensure they are up to 'Visit Britain' standards. When we go on our hols she's constantly wittering on to me about things that aren't up to standard. Tonight she's been wittering on to me for ages?! No way would this B&B ever pass a 'Visit Britain' inspection. She was going to make a list of everything that is wrong with it, but actually 'who cares?' The bedding is clean and it's bedtime now.

PS: Just in case anyone wants to know where I've been blipped today? ............. We walked down to the 'Anchor Inn' at Seatown when we arrived in Chideock, and Ann had a glass of wine outside. Then we went for a little walk up the hill so that I could be blipped with the 'Anchor Inn' in the background so that all you lovely Blippers could see where I've been.
