Demolition of the Lizzie Brice

Lizzie Bryce/Brice, something of a 19th century local legend in the general Mid Calder area.

So esteemed is her reputation in these parts that not only was her name lent to the roundabout at the entrance to the village, but it was also chosen as the name for a nearby pub built in the 1960s.

That was until yesterday when Dem-Master moved in, raising it to the ground in a matter of hours.

The Lizzie Brice is no more.
