Patience
Continuing the theme of doing things on this trip that we wanted to do on previous trips but never got round to it, today we visited Ferrara. It brands itself The Renaissance City and is now a UNESCO world heritage site and we'll-deserved too.
With its city walls and warren of medieval streets, it reminded me of Lucca which we visited a couple of years ago. And, like Lucca, the greatest pleasure is just walking around the place in admiration of the architecture and how well it has been looked after over the centuries. It meant taking a lot of photos while the others waited patiently. But they said they didn't mind.
