Dubai skyline

Still rather dusty/smoggy, but at least not as bad as many places in the Middle East right now, where they are having real trouble with dust/sand storms. As you can see there is a built up area, then sand, then some green, then sand and then those futuristic shapes of the financial/business centre of Dubai, including the skyrocketing shape of the Burj Khalifa. Shot again from our corridor in the hotel on the 8th floor, as my cold was still raging. The only things I did today was pack our suitcases (our flight goes after midnight), go to the hairdressers here to get my roots done (that's about the most money I spent here) and co-assist the eldest on registering for his next OU course via GoogleTalk.

Now waiting until we get picked up for our ride to the airport...
