Coastal flowers

Weather was poor today, but at least it stayed dry.  The wind had picked up and was chilly.  The hen and her eleven offspring were in the garden this morning, but stayed mainly under cover of bushes to keep out of the wind.

I signed up for a MOOC which commenced on Monday, so decided to start the coursework this morning, and we went to the beach in the early afternoon when it was low tide.  It was bracing in the wind, but was good to be out.  We filled a carrier bag with rubbish on the beach - it must have been more than 1kg.  We didn't pick up the big yellow wellie, which looked like it could have contained a decomposing foot.
