Wildflower meadows!

Northumberland Wildlife Trust started the Growing Wild Project last year, aiming to encourage areas to allow grassland to develop into wildflower meadows. It was a great success with the meadows blooming in Cramlington, Hexham, Morpeth and Seaton Sluice to name but a few locations. 

I was, therefore, happy to see the lovely meadows are spreading...and this year we have one in Killingworth. Perfect for adding some bright colour to a dark, damp day!
