The sporting afternoon.

Today we downed tools at 2pm and headed off to a local golf coarse. Our old finance director (OFD) is a golfing man and our company sponsor one of the holes. That means, once a year we get to take over the golf coarse for the afternoon. This was the first year – and may be the last!

I arrived slightly later than everyone else, to hear the OFD shouting at one of the more senior directors for hitting a ball at a group of people, standing near the car park. Then, during the pitching competition he was heard shouting at another group, who were firing golf balls at two work colleagues who were attempting to catch them with their hands.

All in all I think he coped quite well. The divots, if they could be found, were put back in the holes. Nobody got hurt and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. I think!
