Here there and everywhere

I had an appointment with the Dr tonight who confirms whether I should work or not and gives the 'baja', which is like a sick note in the UK and let's me claim for for sickness benefit. I think maybe I've been trying to do too much since the plaster came off on Friday. He said I should still use the crutches for support and do just a little walking, together with the 'rehabilitation' and reiterated the 'poco a poco' message. He looked at my foot and the swelling and suggested I wear trainers for support rather than the sandals I've been wearing. I go back to see him on 5th October. All fine though and good progress. I just have to be realistic with my expectations. My blip was when we were out and about and the pharmacy shop in the corner's where we took the used syringes back from the 5 weeks' injections - glad to say adios to them!

For our record: my brother's getting moved back into the general open ward tomorrow. Crossing everything that he's ready for this.
