Red lobelia dipping it's toes

Much better weather today, lovely blue skies, fluffy white clouds and warm sunshine :-)

After a quick walk down into town to post middle sons birthday card, which I stupidly forgot at weekend when we visited (!!) we had a light lunch before tackling some chores in both the front and back gardens. Back lawn and edges for hub, and cotoneaster hedge in the front for me, followed by cutting back and planning some re-positioning before planting up a cleared section.

It was lovely and warm, so we had a sit down with a cuppa, which is when I spotted the sunlight shining through the lobelia which has been lovely this year. It seems to thrive with its roots firmly in our pond :-)

We've had a lovely salad of crayfish, prawns, and egg mayonnaise for dinner tonight ;-)
