Dragon and his shadow

Kayaking early today, as it is supposed to be a scorcher! I felt bad going because my wonderful Al took a tumble on his mountain bike on his morning ride, and came home bloody and aching. I felt like I should sit and hold his hand, but he had work to do, so he shooed me out.

This is my first attempt at a dragonfly, and I have no idea if that's what this is!! Any help with a name would be appreciated.
It was a lovely kayak ride, and I was surrounded by dragons of different colors. This will definitely be something I try again...there are so many to choose from!
