Right place, right time

Last week I saw a young hawk sitting on the electric wire as I drove to work. I was already late so I decided not to take the time to stop and get my camera out. Today this hawk (might be a broad winged hawk) was standing in the grass not far from where I had seen the young one. I think it was finishing up eating something. It's head was bent for a while and I was able to get a few photos and then it flew away.

We had good luck at the races last night. My mom won 4 races, my dad won 3 and I won 1. Today I took mom shopping for a few blouses and tomorrow I will take them home. We have had a very nice relaxed visit.
