The influences here are from American Indian Art. I'm interested in the Indian's sand painting which is similar to the Mandalas made by Buddhists - they were created on the ground with coloured sand and carried away by the wind. Jackson Pollock evolved his gestural drip paintings after studying these images and their related philosophy.
