Cake Shop

An actual cake shop, not to be confused with the Cakeshop (Itaewon 'underground' basement club).

This place - My Sweet - is a dessert cafe, bar and eatery, owned by a famous Korean chef and TV personality, Hong Seok-cheon.

By the time we got there the cake was all gone (apart from a lonely slice of cheese cake). Instead, we enjoyed 2 ice cream dessert plates and bottle (or 3) of prosecco - sat at a table on the second floor, surrounded by an eclectic mix of vintage furniture and furnishings, in a building I'm (probably wrongly) assuming used to be some sort of glove making factory or newspaper offices...

Interesting place to spend a Saturday evening in any case. And the owner just happened to be there to wave us goodbye on our way out!
