called to me - from afar today

i saw it in the distance - as i was out walking - but couldn't quite believe - it was actually a thistle - until i was on top of it - looking at it - in all its wildness - i didn't realize they bloomed this - late into the season - and for that reason alone is - why i decided to post it - i can't help but think it's some sort - of anomaly or something - whatever the case - it's a bloom, it's purple - so it brings me joy and that's - enough to make for...
