Reluctant

Rosemary (my step mother) had a significant birthday, today. She didn't want to celebrate getting old, reluctantly she agreed to a family meal out, but would have cancelled right up to the last minute. In the end she seemed to enjoy it & she was thrilled that my niece Courtney made her a birthday cake. Luckily it all turned out a success in the end. She ended up with 2 cakes, as I had brought one along too.
I think she should celebrate, as lots of other people don't get to her age at all, or aren't as healthy as she is
