Plan B

We were supposed to be visiting the grandchildren today, but there was a school shoe emergency shopping trip, so we're rearranging.  We decided that we'd go up to Slimbridge.  It was a bit grey and on the cool side (summer wardrobe was too optimistic!) but nice and quiet.  We saw quite a few birds today - reed warblers, blue tits, goldfinches, long-tailed tits and more (see extra Blips).  I have only ever seen a reed warbler fleetingly before, and despite the perception that goldfinches feed on teasel seeds I'd never seen that either until today.  As a bonus the otters were out today too.

The blue tit is my favourite bird, perhaps because they are always fidgeting (a bit like me!) so I chose him/her as my main Blip.
