Daddy Longlegs

This daddy longlegs was outside the window pane, so with Mr PP providing a plain background, I was able to photograph it close up. I don't mind them outdoors, but - like spiders - I'm not keen on them in the house.

This limerick I wrote some years ago. It appears on the OEDILF database.

A crane fly, so fragile and light,
Glides in at the window by night.
His legs trail near my face;
Hear me wail — a disgrace!
For this innocent fly will not bite.
