Keeping it light

These funky lightbulbs hang in the conservatory of Bloomsburys, a quirky tea rooms / cafe / restaurant in Biddenden, where I met the girls today for tea and chat.

The place has a boho feel with an eclectic mix of books ranging from topics such as mushrooms to medical miscellany to the life and times of Queen Victoria.

Mismatched wooden tables are decorated with eccentric table pieces from peacock shaped vases to piles of books and around the room are random objects from old typewriters to an old toy steam train.

The power kept cutting out while we were there which seems befitting to the relaxed vibe. The owner walks around in bare feet and people sip tea for hours undisturbed. Next time I have a working from home day I know where to go!

Drawbridge is up at home this evening as I look forward to a rare night in. The first weekend without an event since early June and my last free one for another five weeks.
