Roses and Raindrops
These beautiful roses were lying out in St Botolph's Churchyard, exposed to the weather. They had adorned the top of the coffin of Hilda, the mother of our vicar, at her funeral last Tuesday.
Hilda had reached 100 in April which was celebrated by a big party in the parish hall with a telegram from the Queen.
Now all that is left are these wonderful roses which presumably will rot and decay.
Basil and I went to The Outwoods this afternoon, where I began a sequence of photos for this month's 12 by 12 challenge, Reconsider the Selfie. This one is going to make me think.
Marvellous that the skies are blue and the sun is shining.
