A Sunny Flower for a Sunny Day....................

This humble Marigold (Calendula) opened this morning to
brilliant sunshine. It is the perfect flower for the cottage garden, seeding itself freely and succeeding almost anywhere.
I say it is humble as it has no pretentions, no particular preferences as to soil, will offer up it's brilliant colour with no help from us - in other words, it is a joy to behold and I offer no apologies for offering the " Marigold."
