Yay, the Dr took off my plaster this morning - and it wasn't as easy as I'd thought! She wasn't a wee slight thing, but had to use a lot of sheer force, different tools and the ' electric pizza cutter' thingie and kept commenting on how much plaster there was! Then she sent me off for an x-ray, which seemed to be fine and I left with instructions to sign up for 15 'rehabilitation' sessions and see her again on the 18th before she goes on holiday. I'd been prepared by Wildwood that my foot and leg would be skinny, flaky and weak, as well as by our friend Philippa. How right they were! However, a shower and moisturizing cream and it feels and looks more normal. 'Poco a poco' (little by little) was what the Dr said and that's how I'm going and still mainly with the crutches at the moment. Great to be able to see my foot and leg again though and I've been told that the bump on the side of the foot (not seen here) where the break was is normal and will reduce.

I thought a collage would be a good way to say adios and gracias to my old pal - who was with me 5 weeks to the day. The middle shot was just after the plaster came off and before I had an x-ray.
