Over the Boatyard Wall
14.7C with plenty of cloud and a few sunny spells. Brighter later in the afternoon. Moderate breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went through to Arbroath before 9am and had our walk round the harbour. It felt cold in the Northerly breeze. The lock gate to the inner harbour was open, so we walked round to the boatyard where there were two boats on the slipway. Several men were working on the trawler SY21. Maeve waited while I went up the steps on the harbour wall for a few shots over the boatyard wall.
We came back round the way we had gone. Marigold, the boat in my blip of two Saturday's ago, has been further stripped down above decks and even the name and wooden window surrounds and frames have gone from the superstructure of her bridge.
Maeve went out to the back garden half an hour before I had lunch. It wasn't feeling quite as cold.
Maeve and I went out for a walk after lunch. Queen's Innuendo on the Nano. We went up to the church then down the field with the bridle path, then back along the cycle path and along towards Carnoustie then up the main road and round to home.
