Milkweed

Its life cycle nearly complete, a milkweed plant prepares to cast its children into the world.  Perhaps, they will become food for the monarch butterfly migration out of Mexico next spring.  I dream of one day seeing the monarchs overwintering in the mountains west of Mexico city.  Judging from photos, it must be a spectacular sight!
