"it's only a little rain, you ninny!"
Okay, so like I missed blipping yesterday, having been in the waiting room (casualty actually) hanging about over an afternoon and a half, at Cov and Wark hospital
You see, my nose has been like the little engine that could and just keeps trying to run off to who knows where! While my wrist - remember that stupidity induced injury - that has not gotten better and so my "mood" has been rather dour
And naturally, She is like bound and determined to get me interested in life again, having come to the realization that at my age - in her mind - senility should not be an accepted fate.
So, after getting the all clear finally, we exited the hospitable "palace of care" into what appeared to be Hurricane Gladys! (okay, so from my mouth, hyperbole is coming faster than a Virgin heading to Lime Street station!) It was definitely a "British" kind of afternoon
"I know what we should do" She offered in a remarkably understandable moment of clarity "you've not been to the locks, have you?" knowing all too well the correct response to that one, she pointed the Volvo (yes we have another one) towards points unknown and like clothes at a nudist retreat, we were off
(as for the earlier comments regarding attire at a nudist retreat, don't ask)
And so, today I give you - in some of it's natural beauty - Foxton Locks!!!
"it really does look better in sunnier weather" She demurely confessed, (noticing the look of utter "not -to-happy" on my sopping wet face) so, I asked quietly, why are we here now?
