Preparing

I suspect I'll need a bit of reading material next month.

Two long flights to/from Accra. Three weeks in Kumasi, and apart from dinner plus team meetings, not much to do after work. (I don't want to prejudge Ghana, but in neither Ethiopia nor Tanzania does one just go out for a stroll after dinner.)

I've started "The Guga Hunters". Fascinating. It's about the Lewis tradition of hunting/culling young gannets for food. It's still done these days in a very limited and controlled way.

Arild Stavrum's name may ring a bell with Fin Hall.
