Forbidden Fruit

Symbol of love, sexuality, temptation and knowledge. 

Very few on the tree in the garden this year, but none last year so it's an improvement.  Not sure what's behind the reduction. Can't be a shortage of pollinators as we've masonry bees living under the kitchen. Suspect pruning failure on my part. I think they're James Grieves, which should grow well in our colder northern clime.  Great for stews.
