Tony made the excellent suggestion that we stock up on bird food at the Blue Barn today, which is also code for treating ourselves to lunch at Betty's at Harlow Carr! Afterwards we wandered through the garden shop and picked up a few bits and pieces and looked at possible plants to refresh the borders which are being drowned out by geraniums which need to go.  The RHS gardens are between seasons now so we decided against paying to go in and see them, so I took this sneaky blip from over the wall in the garden shop.  These borders are fabulous at their best.

 This afternoon I tended the pots and baskets and then began to sort through my photos to decide which to enter for this year's village show.
