Peanut seeker

The chipmunks are heeding their fall's coming soon internal clock tick-tocking. Lots of fighting and ruffing up of each other, as they vie for the peanuts we toss around. The hummingbirds are behaving the same way around the feeders, fights and frenzied feeding. They have a long fall migration to prepare for. 

It's very dry and the most stressed trees have leaves losing their glossy green in exchange for a preview of the glorious autumn colors to come. 


For the Record,
This day came in cool and dark, quite a shift from the hot and humid weather. Warming up day by day of the Holiday weekend until we're sweltering again next week.
