Housekeeping

It maybe Friday night but I know what really gets the weekend off to a flying start is hoovering and cleaning the loos.

There is no German verb "hooveren".  We have "staubsaugen" which is to suck dust.  If anything, that's less apealing than hoovering.

We, as you can see, don't have a conventional hoover.  You just plug the anaconda into one of the outlets in the wall and off you go.

It makes a very odd sound when you switch it off - I imagine it to be like a tuba who has just realised he's forgotten his wallet.

Now if the neighbours would just stop with their demolition work (there are sledgehammers and masonry drills involved), I can get on and enjoy Friday night.
