What a day! 
So much - the most beautiful beaches, mountains, lakes, waterfalls and tumbling rivers, rainbows, swirling clouds, mist, rain and sunshine. 
Long walks on vast empty white-sand beaches, the sea the greenest I have ever seen ... 
We are smitten with Connemara as you can tell .... 
We had lunch in a seafood restaurant in the pretty little town of Clifden, a bit of window-shopping, more exploring, and more beach walks.
The hotel is on the banks of Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord and extremely picturesque. This evening we went up to the head of the fjord and walked along the river to see the waterfalls. 
Then back to the hotel for a superb dinner in the restaurant.
