Sardines in the Hutch
Took advantage of the Scotrail 50 club introductory offer of £10 return to anywhere in Scotland by going off to Aviemore. Walked in from Glenmore to the Hutchison Hut via Bynack More and Beinn a'Chaorainn in ever stronger wind and heavier rain. Decided to stay there rather than force the way over to the Corrour Bothy in the Lairig Ghru.
For an hour or so I had the hut to myself, but then I was joined by two Poles, three Frenchmen and four Germans. The hut is only 3.5m by 2.5m so it was quite a squeeze [see extra], but we all cooperated and it was a good atmosphere as we raised the room temperature from 12 to 19 degrees without lighting the fire! Thankfully I had one of the two spaces on the sleeping bench.
