Bonsai

I went to a Bonsai lecture on Tuesday evening and got some tips and courage to do something (fairly severe trimming and shaping) about this Bonsai I've had for over 9 years. It was over 2 years old when I bought it.  I know the photographic techniques could be better, but this also borders on being an emergency blip.  I bought this little tree the weekend my grandson was born, so it has more special meaning for me.  The fellow who did the lecture brought 4 beautiful specimens, the youngest of which was 20 years old.  He said his former role in corporate America drove him to Bonsai.  I could also almost say the busyness of this week drove me to this photo.  I don't know what is happening lately that seems to eat so much time, but I have missed some of my viewings and postings on here.
